Lawn Ornament

Well, I've been traveling the back roads of my neck of the woods for many years. Every now and again I find something that just makes me shake my head. This image is an example. The way the grass is clipped around this truck makes me think it is being used as a lawn ornament. The dealer insignia on the side of this thing is from a dealer that has been out of business for probably twenty years or more.

I'm betting this made you shake your head side to side and not up and down!
I like they way it compliments the roses and the way it seamlessly blends in with the patio furniture. Great feng shuei ;)
Why do people do this?

Yea, shaking side to side for sure, this thing was on a farm that had a wonderful view of a small valley with rolling hills in the background, just beautiful and these people have to put junk on the lawn, my head is still shaking as I type this LOL.

Thanks for the comments bud.

I've been trying to work out what company made the truck but you have so many more vehicle manufacturers over there I wouldn't come close. What is it Chuck an you tell me? The lenght of the chassis looks REAL long and yet the motor on the ground looks like a small block.

ndiginiz, I'm not really a car guy so I can't answer this with any authority but the model of this truck is Custom. I wish I could see the front but this side view looks like a Dodge, which would make it a Chrysler product. Built somewhere in the sixties I would think. That engine is pretty small too, this is not exactly a "speed demon" eh?
