Blue Heron

At more than a metre tall the great blue heron is Canada's largest heron. These guys are normally quite shy but this fellow decided to co-operate with us. These two shots are the same bird, in fact I shot an entire gig of images of this bird!

We had about 6-8 cm of snow overnight with more to come, as a result, I'm indoors today finally processing some of this summers photos. There are hundreds (thousands?) to label and categorize etc. In the coming weeks I'll try to get some of the better ones here.

Yesssss! Chuck is back. Gorgeous pictures Bro. I am becoming completely envious of that camera of yours. With all the snow we had today, looking at those peaceful photos makes me think of spring again. The colour you get in your photos is amazing. Is it because you are shooting in raw?

I share your sisters enthusiasm in knowing your back Chuck!
That is a really beautiful bird and at 1 metre tall it would also be a handful if it decided to get upset.

Don't envy your long days of labelling and processing images but, such is the nature things we do in sharing something we love doing!
Great to see your photographs again Chuck!
