Red Fox
Spotted this guy and stopped my truck in the middle of the road. He wasn't too concerned about me at all.Nature photography is all about missed opportunities, after snapping this shot he spotted, or heard, something in the grass behind him. A great shot would have been a shot of his hunting tactics, fox often jump straight up and come down on top of their prey. As I said, I was stopped in the middle of the road and as the fox was preparing to jump there was traffic coming up behind me. Ah well, one day the shot will come.

Never mind that great shot ... this one is pretty darn good. I love the colours, crispness and composition... the way his front leg is lifted to move him forward even while he is looking behind. A beautiful image.
