Trillium

It was 30 degrees today with a humidex of somewhere around 40. I decided to search out some shade in the bush. Unfortunately, the blackflies had the same thought. These miserable little critters were so thick I thought they were going to pick me up and carry me home.
I was hoping to find some trillium, although in my mind I thought I was a couple weeks early. I thought wrong! These flowers, like most everything this year, are about two weeks ahead of themselves. As a matter of fact, some of these blooms are already starting to fade.

CHUCK! Great to see you posting again bud! I've been checking in pretty much everyday. Welcome back.

Trilliums are beautiful flowers...they grow wild and plentiful around the Honey Harbour area of Ontario. This is a great example.

Cheers!

Great shot Chuck. Love the lighting. I, like Dave, have been checking in pretty much every day. Welcome back bro.
I must go to visit you so I can get some photos of those trilliums.
