Ah yes, this was indeed a great place to grow up. Paddling a canoe up and down the river. Lots of places to fish within walking distance of home. If I had a chance to live the first part of my life over there is very little that I would change. Thanks for the comments folks.
That little town looks familiar! You can't beat living in a country where we get to celebrate the four distinct seasons. All of our senses are heightened with what each has to offer. And then to capture special moments on camera and to share it with others...it doesn't get much better than that! Very pretty shot Chuck!
I've been taking photos since 1981 when I purchased my first 35 mm film camera. Currently I shoot with the Nikon D 50. I shoot in RAW format for the control it gives me in processing. Please feel free to leave comments, critiques, or suggestions. I'd love to hear from you.

What a co-incidence. It looks VERY much like the small town I grew up in too. What are the odds?
Love the dark blue of the sky.
Such a pretty little town especially with all the snow. It looks nothing like the small town where I grew up since it almost never snowed there.
nice winter landscape....everywhere all cover by snow....feel cold and quiet....nice capture wt a small creek:-)
It looks like a great little place to grow up in. I hope it was. It has a warm feel, despite the snow.

A part from the snow element it looks very much like the semi-secluded type of area in which I'd like to live.
