D, thanks, I don't think I have a particular favourite tree. but Birch are certainly cool.
outdoorexposure, Yes, because of the tilt of the earth this time of year the sun never gets very high in the sky so the sunlight doesn't reach us in a straight path, that's why the sky is darker now.
Hello Chuck, First, thx for posting regular comments on mistralcolorS. ;-) For this kind of tree photograph, I sugest you to frame the tree not on the center. Just shot the principal subject on the 2/3 and you'll see the difference. Continue. See ya/
Tena koe ehoa Our seasons are heading towards cooler climates now and some of the final growth of vegetables other plants etc is taking place now. Nights are noticeably cooler and sleep is a better prospect most nights now. It's interesting to see the effects of the natural elements on vegetation, plant life. Some seem better at withstanding some of the extremes of weather.
I've been taking photos since 1981 when I purchased my first 35 mm film camera. Currently I shoot with the Nikon D 50. I shoot in RAW format for the control it gives me in processing. Please feel free to leave comments, critiques, or suggestions. I'd love to hear from you.

My favourite trees hands down...I love how they tend to grow in clusters. They make for a beautiful shoreline!

Oh, and I wish I had a tree that big in my back yard!
I love the way it looks against the sky. Such blue, and the shadows are wonderful.
