Canada Thistle
Once again a non-current photo. I think what happens in Canada is, come February we are a little tired of the cold and the snow so our minds naturally gravitate to warmer times. At least that's how my mind works. This is a Canada Thistle(Cirsium arvense) A European introduction, it's flower head is about 2.5 cm wide. They grow all over the place.

Great DOF chuck... but imho the blooom is just a tad blown out... or is it just me?? and my screwy monitor??
leisa, it is not you, or your monitor, you are absolutely right, still, I thought it looked not too bad.
leisa, I have not been able to get to your blog for the last couple days.
Hi Chuck, pretty Thistle but I agree with Leisa. Good depth of Field though.
the DoF is excellant on this.. and thats a unique flower i've never seen before..very awesome
Good evening chuck,
Thx for posting in mistral.
I love the regular background on this contrasted with the pink foreground.
You are not the only photographer I've seen who are posting pictures of flowers in anticipation of warmer weather. That's a cool looking flower. I saw some really unique flowers when I was at the Inverewe Gardens in Scotland.
Thats a great looking flower, and the DOF is great. Full emphasis falls on the main subject. That's how it should be for flowers. Well done!
i like the color and shape of the flower....nice composition and dof:-)
Pretty nice flower, for a weed. Good pic Chuck.
Yeah, my mind is heading toward spring. This looks like a chive blossom.
I can imagine you are allready dreaming of the Summer! Nothing better than to look at the flowers in the meantime! Great DOF. Nice contrast between the white and the gren.
Nice one Chuck! Effect DOF and colour..cheers
Beautiful Chuck and ditto for the rest ;)
