Canada Thistle

Once again a non-current photo. I think what happens in Canada is, come February we are a little tired of the cold and the snow so our minds naturally gravitate to warmer times. At least that's how my mind works.
This is a Canada Thistle(Cirsium arvense) A European introduction, it's flower head is about 2.5 cm wide. They grow all over the place.

leisa, it is not you, or your monitor, you are absolutely right, still, I thought it looked not too bad.

Good evening chuck,
Thx for posting in mistral.
I love the regular background on this contrasted with the pink foreground.

You are not the only photographer I've seen who are posting pictures of flowers in anticipation of warmer weather. That's a cool looking flower. I saw some really unique flowers when I was at the Inverewe Gardens in Scotland.

Thats a great looking flower, and the DOF is great. Full emphasis falls on the main subject. That's how it should be for flowers. Well done!
